This city was so large/long that if I put another row of Oars on the back, the game would glitch out and the animation for the most rear set of Oars would not work properly. (this might be something a dev would want to investigate) >**(DEVELOPER TAKE NOTE!!) - BUG FOUND WITH CITY SIZE**<. Propulsion is a mix of the Oar's and the Water Wheel style structures as this was most efficient for getting max speed and available space. Industry is still located in the rear but is primarily positioned very close to general storage warehouses and on the opposite side of the water generation area. This way the moisture and food farmers can easily access water to grow crops and store water as it is created. Water generation is on the top left of the image, with the water tank structures located between water generation and the farms. Spirit 4 spirit healers are placed strategically around the city to service all available housing with 6 tea houses to back them up for extra healing if needed. The position of the tea houses is more centralized, and food storage is located between the farms and the housing this time so citizens can more easily access them to eat and store food. It also has all the available buildings for industry, farming, and the citizens are as happy as they can get. This one runs at 64% of max possible speed, so it's a tad faster too. This was more challenging to accomplish on Hard mode, but I still managed it. But is good for understanding city layout.Īs with the last city, it is entirely self sufficient and does not require pulling any resources from the ground to operate, i could basically point it in a direction and let it run forever without any monitoring or picking up resources. This picture was taken before I went through and customized the trees, so it's not quite as pretty as the first one.

As such is it much more efficient for how it operates. It takes into account travel times for citizens to accomplish various jobs and is laid out in a much more structured fashion using the game mechanics I learned from my first playthrough. Who knows? eventually there may be more tech to learn and some more quests to complete =)

A city would not throw away it's research buildings just because they ran out of things to research for a while. It's got all the production buildings squeezed in, loads of storage I thought about removing the academies after I finished researching all the tech, but it did not feel right. It's a real city build for playing the game - built up dynamically as I progressed, but I had a rough idea of the general layout I was after from the start. Thanks for putting the options for so much customization into the color schemes and designs! I really had a good time fiddling around with those. I especially like the purple glow that comes from some of the lighting at night. Thanks! It took a long time to pick that color scheme, i even went through each individual house and plant to customize their look to make it feel more consistent yet still have the sort of individuality that might exist in such a fantasy floating city.
